Having spent 12 years living in the UK, I have recently returned to my South African roots and set up home and studio in the beautiful harbour village Kalk Bay, Cape Town.
I work in oil on canvas and often directly from life and 'en plein air' when the weather permits. I follow the 'colourist' tradition choosing as my subjects the objects and scenery of my everyday life and travels. My work has been described as ... “gentle and with insight and a controlled sensitivity not often seen these days, reminiscent of the beautiful quiet of Morandi”.
I am currently working towards a major solo show at the Irma Stern Museum in Cape Town, which I am proud to present as my first exhibition on home 'turf'.
