These serene abstractions suggest waterfalls streaming down mossy slabs of rock with ferny overhangs and caves. A ravine is a narrow, steep-sided valley worn by running water. The dripping layers of mossy green used in this series imitate these pristine geological environments. The Moss series celebrates the tiny mostly unseen hero in this biosphere which intercepts, retains and slowly releases water into the river as well as the lush understory of water ferns that thrive in the ravine’s cool, deep shade.
