Wilderness
Wilderness is a series of large-scale abstract paintings that explores nature as both imagined and constructed, where wildness is shaped as much by perception and language as by physical environment.
Working in oil and pigment, the paintings are built through layered, gestural processes that allow colour and form to emerge, fragment, and dissolve across the surface. The works hold shifting relationships between control and instability, where atmosphere, light, and movement are continually in flux.
